Cambuslang Harriers, since its formation in 1948, has become one of the premier cross country and road running clubs across all age groups in Scotland. We also have a very talented girls and ladies group who now regularly win major team honours.
A great day for the club with the junior/senior men 1st with Wegene the fastest of the day, the vets O35 team 1st and junior/senior ladies 2nd.
The young athlete females were 9th and the boys 5th.
The men led from start to finish – Jack 12.34, Corky 12.51, Wegene 12.12 and Stuart 12.38. Davy M ran a storming 12.59 on leg 2 for B team who incidentally finished 1st B team in 8th (Matthew, Davy, Mick and Andrew Mac.)
The vets’ times were Dave T 14.27, Greg 13.53, Colin 14.28 and Johny 13.55 and they finished 11th.
Our 3 under 20 ladies made history for the club by recording the first medal position for our women in this junior/senior event. Alex finished in 4th in 15.57. Katie moved us into 2nd (15.49) and Mhairi (16.32) comfortably held on to 2nd.

We cater for runners of all abilities and offer regular training sessions based from our clubhouse in Cambuslang, we also have regular training on the track at the John Wright Sport Centre in East Kilbride, why not come along and join us?
