Cambuslang Harriers, since its formation in 1948, has become one of the premier cross country and road running clubs across all age groups in Scotland. We also have a very talented girls and ladies group who now regularly win major team honours.
A dry bright day at Drumpellier Country Park.
Despite this race being a counter towards the club senior championship, it remains a low key event, although numbers appeared to be slightly up on last year. For the senior four lap race four vets and two of the newer seniors turned out.
First home in 6th place was Dave T followed by Mick 8th, George 10th, those three took third team place behind EKAC and Shettleston, Frank 11th, Colin 16th and Dan 18th. 34 finished.
In the U17 M, Ross was first back in 4th place with David R in 7th with Jack and Joe 11th and 12th out of 19 finishers.
U15 M, Sean was 3rd, with Keir 5th, Gavin 9th, Euan 11th, Scott 12th, 24 finishers
U13 M also saw 24 finishers, and Struan, Ryan, Luke and Drew took the first 4 places, with Eamon 19th and B Sutherland 24th.
U11 M was a big race with 34 finishers again the youngsters impressed, with C McLew, R McGregor and E Theobald 1st, 3rd and 4th, followed by A Bergin 8th, E McLew 11th.
we had no one in the senior womens race, Alex and Katie were at the Scottish Uni’s.
U17 W only Eve and Rebecca ran.
U15 W Mairi and Lauren were 1st and 2nd with 15 finishers
U13 W Olivia was 2nd and A Thomson 27th. 28 finishers
