  • Who are Cambuslang Harriers?

    Cambuslang Harriers, since its formation in 1948, has become one of the premier cross country and road running clubs across all age groups in Scotland. We also have a very talented girls and ladies group who now regularly win major team honours.

    Individual And Team Medals For Cambuslang Harriers At The Lanarkshire Cross Country Championships

    The Lanarkshire Cross Country Championships was moved from its traditional Coatbridge venue to Kirkland Park in Strathaven.  The new undulating course promoted by East Kilbride AC was a welcome change from the flatter Drumpellier Park trail.  In spite of several absences across the 5 year age groups Cambuslang Harriers lifted 4 individual gold medals, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals in addition to 3 team victories and 1 runner up spot .     International Two Legged Racing At Aintree and Local Success

    Eleven members of Cambuslang Harriers were originally selected to represent the Scottish Masters Team in the British and Irish Cross Country International at Aintree Race Course. Unfortunately due to injury M35 Iain MacCorquodale and M45 Stevie Wylie did not make the starting line. However the remaining 9 Cambuslang athletes made their presence felt in helping their respective age groups win medals. Running in the W40 category Jacqueline Etherington although happier on the road and track was the 2nd Scottish counter in the bronze winning team.     A Scottish Cross Country Bronze Medal for Ben Hukins

    Members of Cambuslang Harriers travelled to Kirkcaldy to participate in the Scottish Short Course Cross Country Championships. The up and down muddy course was to be a test of stamina. There were races for the under 15 boys and girls, under 17 men and women, the under 20, senior and masters women and the same age groups for the men.     Cambuslang Harriers at Home and Abroad

    The weekend of 26th and 27th October was a busy one for members of Cambuslang Harriers who were competing at Cumbernauld, Leeds and Frankfurt in Germany.
