  • Who are Cambuslang Harriers?

    Cambuslang Harriers, since its formation in 1948, has become one of the premier cross country and road running clubs across all age groups in Scotland. We also have a very talented girls and ladies group who now regularly win major team honours.

    Club Christmas Handicap Results

    A good turnout across the age groups on a mild but blustery morning on Saturday 19th saw Simon Gold win the 4k and Bob Burt's whole salmon, with Ruth Kelly wining the youngsters short course. Special mention to Justin and Dan who had placed 1st and 3rd at the tollcross parkrun a couple of hours before and still posted great times.     West District Cross Country Champs, 6th Dec. Bellahouston Park

    Well done to all who competed on Sunday in very muddy conditions.  There were many excellent performances.  Congratulations to Kyle who front ran from the start to an emphatic victory in the senior men's race.  His performance was all the more creditable as he had completed a 14 hour shift the day before as a junior doctor at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.  With good packing from Stuart 7th, Robert 8th, Kenny 11th, Kerry-Liam 13th and Iain R 14th the club took 2nd team behind Shettleston.  Alistair who prefers the track had his best cross country run to date over this […]

    M40+ and M50+ Masters show the way at the Scottish Cross Country Relay Championships

    The M40+ quartet of Kenny Campbell, Frank McGowan, Kerry-Liam Wilson and Jamie Reid and the M50+ trio of Chris Upson, Paul Thompson and Colin Feechan were worthy winners at the Scottish Cross Country Relay Champs at Cumbernauld on Saturday 24th October. With Jamie, Kerry-Liam and Kenny recording the 3 fastest masters’ times and Frank 6th fastest it was not surprising that this was the club’s 5th consecutive victory in this national championship.     Short Report on Schools XC races 19th Sept

    SCHOOLS PRIMARY AND SECONDARY CROSS COUNTRY RACES SPONSORED BY NATIONAL LOTTERY COMMUNITY FUNDING SATURDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER 2015 On Saturday Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers hosted cross country races for local and surrounding primary and secondary pupils.  The event which was part of the club’s community lottery funded project to promote health and fitness among younger people attracted 108 participants across the various school age groups.  On crossing the finishing line all pupils received a medal for their efforts In the opening run for P6/7 girls Charlie Frew from Hunter Primary in East Kilbride was the winner ahead of Rhiannon Morris from Hillside […]

    Running Seminar

    Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers will be hosting a running seminar open to all clubs on Preparation for the Cross Country Season and Peaking for your Target Race. The two guest speakers are Freya Ross and Mark Pollard with Mike Johnston chairing and there will be the opportunity to ask questions. Freya is a multi Scottish Champion on country, road and track, GB Internationalist and a Commonwealth, European and Olympic Representative.     A MASTERFUL PERFORMANCE BY RONHILL CAMBUSLANG VETERAN RUNNERS

    The club fielded an M35 6-man team and a 3-man M55 team along with an incomplete over M35 B team at the British Masters Road Relays at Sutton Park, Birmingham on Saturday 16th May. The long journey was made worthwhile as the M55 trio won team gold and the M35 sextet team silver. The M55 race kicked off first with Paul Thompson on the opening leg.     RONHILL CAMBUSLANG HARRIERS WIN TEAM GOLD IN THE SCOTTISH 10 MILE ROAD RACE

    The summer season began on a high note for Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers. On an unusually warm Easter Sunday the club won team gold in the Scottish 10 mile road championship held at Strathclyde Park in conjunction with the Tom Scott Memorial 10 mile race. Robert Gilroy in 4th place with support from Kerry-Liam Wilson and Stevie Wylie in 10th and 11th spot were the 3 club counters.
