Ron Hill Running Seminar Friday 14 September 2012
The club is holding a running seminar on Friday 14 September at 7.25 pm in the Sports Club. We are delighted to welcome our 3 guest speakers – Ron Hill, UK, European and Commonwealth Marathon Champion with a pb of 2.09.28, Kilbarchan A.C.’s Bobby Quinn, multiple Scottish Champion over track, road, XC hill running and UK internationalist throughout his remarkable 25+ year career and Kilbarchan’s Claire Gibson, Scottish 800M Champion and UK Internationalist with a pb of 2.01.34. The meeting will be chaired by club member Mike Johnston, the National Endurance Coach and there will be the opportunity to ask our 3 guests any questions.
Tickets which include tea and biscuits cost £5 for seniors and £3 for under 20s and can be purchased from David Cooney . Given the running quality and experience of the panel along with the timing of the event just prior to the cross country season we anticipate an excellent turn out by our members. Tickets will initially be on sale to our own club members and thereafter to members of our local running clubs, who will also be made very welcome.

Finally our members are invited to participate with Ron Hill in the Strathclyde Parkrun on the Saturday morning.
