  • Who are Cambuslang Harriers?

    Cambuslang Harriers, since its formation in 1948, has become one of the premier cross country and road running clubs across all age groups in Scotland. We also have a very talented girls and ladies group who now regularly win major team honours.

    Lanarkshire XC Champs 17/11/12

    A dry bright day at Drumpellier Country Park. Despite this race being a counter towards the club senior championship, it remains a low key event, although numbers appeared to be slightly up on last year. For the senior four lap race four vets and two of the newer seniors turned out. First home in 6th place was Dave T followed by Mick 8th, George 10th, those three took third team place behind EKAC and Shettleston, Frank 11th, Colin 16th and Dan 18th. 34 finished.     Dave C’s report on Scottish 4k CC Champs

    Congrats to our senior men team of Stuart 10th, Wegene 11th, Ben 18th and Davey 19th who took the silver medal behind Central with Corstorphine taking the bronze.  Spare a thought for Iain who missed a medal by 1 place/2seconds and Jack (6th under 20) who was a further 6 seconds adrift.  The club was well supported in this race with our next finishers in order being Alastair, George, Scott, Alick and Robert R.     West District Relays 13th Oct.

    A great day for the club with the junior/senior men 1st with Wegene the fastest of the day, the vets O35 team 1st and junior/senior ladies 2nd. The young athlete females were 9th and the boys 5th. The men led from start to finish – Jack 12.34, Corky 12.51, Wegene 12.12 and Stuart 12.38.  Davy M ran a storming 12.59 on leg 2 for B team who incidentally finished 1st B team in 8th (Matthew, Davy, Mick and Andrew Mac.)     UK VETS OVER 35 ROAD RELAY CHAMPIONSHIP AT BIRMINGHAM 12 MAY 2012

    RONHILL CAMBUSLANG TAKE 25 SECONDS OFF THEIR WINNING TIME FROM LAST YEAR BUT HAVE TO SETTLE FOR SECOND PLACE The club made 4 changes from last year’s victorious team.  Out were Kerry Wilson(recuperating from his veteran victory and PB at the Belfast Marathon only 5 days earlier), Johnny MacNamara and Alan Ramage both recovering from injury and Mick O’Hagan who stepped down to travelling reserve.  Their replacements were Stevie Wylie and Charlie Thomson both on the comeback trail after repeated injuries, Martin McLaughlin who recently returned to the sport after an 18 year absence and super veteran Dave Thom.  These […]

    Landemar Day Races

    Just to update you on this year’s Landemer Races which will be held at Overtoun Park on Friday evening 25th May.  After discussion the committee has decided to move away from the previous Tuesday evening event around the Sports Club playing fields and changed the formula.  I have attached further information on the 3 races to be held.
