Scottish National under 18 Indoor Track Championships at Emirates Arena Glasgow 2nd and 3rd March
Twins Alex and Kade Thomas clearly showed that Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers are more than just a road and cross country running club by taking both gold and silver over 60 and 200 metres in the under 18 Scottish Championships. Alex just edged ahead of Kade in the two sprint races with both athletes posting personal bests at the two distances. These excellent performances showed that the twins have wintered well under the guidance of their coach Andy Steven and augurs well for the summer outdoor track season.
Down by the River 10K and 3K Races Sunday 3rd March
Ronhill Cambuslang Harriers held their annual open 10K and 3K races on Sunday. Conditions for running were good with no real wind for the record field of 118 participants in the 10K to contend with. Straight from the gun the race developed into a battle between the Cambuslang duo of Davy Munro and Robert Gilroy and remained so throughout the race. (photos Kenny Phillips)
